By May 31, 2024, the respective representatives were selected from all lighthouses in the DiP project consortium to advise and support the consortium as a board in the future. From these seven elected board members and their eight representatives, the spokesperson duo of Dr. Christine Rasche (Fraunhofer CBP, board member from lighthouse 1) and Prof. Dr. Klaus Pillen (Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg from lighthouse 3) have now also been appointed. We congratulate them and look forward to a good cooperation.
In addition to the two future spokespersons, there are five other board members who represent the three lighthouses as well as the junior research group projects and the accompanying research. Since April 2024, almost 20 collaborative projects have been conducting research on the following topics: “Value chains of agricultural crops” (cereals and straw, sugar beet, peas),“Sustainable and climate-resilient cultivation systems for the production of bio-based raw materials” (agroforestry, hemp and superfood) and “Value chains of special crops” (valuable materials from plant residues, special crops, medicinal and aromatic plants, potential analyses).
More than 40 partner institutions from science and industry are involved in the 20 DiP joint projects – in addition to Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU), other regional universities, non-university research institutions, regional companies and, in some cases, supra-regional partners.
