Review of the 1st DiP project meeting

On June 7, 2024, the first major DiP consortium meeting took place at IAMO in Halle with over 100 participants.
20 collaborative research projects presented themselves and their goals.

DiP board spokesperson selected

The DiP spokesperson duo of Dr. Christine Rasche (Fraunhofer CBP) and Prof. Dr. Klaus Pillen (MLU Halle-Wittenberg) were appointed by all participating DiP consortium representatives on May 31, 2024.

DiP joint projects and coordination office get underway

The project “Model region of the bioeconomy for the digitalization of plant value chains in the Central German mining area in Saxony-Anhalt” – DiP for short – funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is getting underway. From April 2024, 19 joint projects of the DiP consortium will begin their work. The overarching goal of the DiP consortium is to create a model region for a digitalized, climate-neutral and competitive bioeconomy in the coal succession region in southern Saxony-Anhalt, which is characterized by scientific excellence, innovative industries and attractive jobs.

Lecture provides insight into the digital toolbox of agriculture

With his lecture “Digitalization in the agricultural sector”, DiP speaker Prof. Dr. Klaus Pillen took part in the ASQ lecture series “The Digital Farmer – Insights into the digital toolbox of agriculture” of the Studentische Förderinitiative der Naturwissenschaften e. V. (SFI) at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU) in December 2023.
